In a Chilling Crime, Mother Kills 5-Year-Old Daughter to Frame Ex-Husband and Live with Lover in Lucknow
Lucknow, July 15: In a disturbing incident that has shocked the city, a mother strangled her five-year-old daughter to death in a twisted plan to frame her estranged husband and continue living with her lover. The horrifying act unfolded in the Khundari Bazaar area under the Kaiserbagh police station, where the woman, identified as Roshni Khan, killed her own child late Monday night, leaving residents and the police stunned.
According to the police, Roshni called the control room around midnight, alleging that her husband Shahrukh Khan had murdered their daughter. The claim prompted immediate action, with police and forensic teams rushing to the scene. The child was found dead in the room, but during questioning, Roshni repeatedly contradicted herself, raising suspicions.
Inspector of Kaiserbagh police station confirmed that during intense interrogation, Roshni eventually broke down and confessed to the crime. She admitted to strangling her daughter with her own hands, citing her ongoing live-in relationship with a man named Udit Jaiswal as the motive. Roshni told police she had been separated from her husband for several years and had custody of the child. She had been living with Udit for some time and saw the presence of her daughter and former husband as a threat to her current relationship.
On the day of the incident, Shahrukh had come to visit his daughter. A heated argument broke out between him and Roshni, after which—either in a fit of rage or through a premeditated plan—she killed the child. In a desperate bid to mislead the police, Roshni called the authorities herself and accused her ex-husband of the murder. She even sat by the child’s body, weeping inconsolably, in an attempt to lend credibility to her story.
However, forensic analysis of the crime scene revealed inconsistencies in her narrative. Upon confronting her with the evidence, the police forced a confession. Roshni has since been arrested, and the room where the murder took place has been sealed for further investigation. Authorities are also probing the involvement of her live-in partner, Udit Jaiswal, to determine whether he played any role in the conspiracy.
The murder of the innocent child has sent waves of grief and outrage throughout the neighborhood. Locals expressed horror at the idea of a mother—often seen as the epitome of love and sacrifice—committing such a brutal act against her own child.
